Two Dimensional Page |
There is no one right way to create a good layout. Different
people have different understanding about layout design and design may vary
accordingly. Keeping in mind different target audience, I planned to create a
three dimensional page in which one can change the information hierarchy and
content flow. Through this people can better understand the role and importance
of layout design in a very easy and interesting manner.

Sublime Galleria- Inspiring Awe
Located on the eighth floor of the posh UB City Mall in Bangalore is a professionally managed art gallery ‘Sublime Galleria’. A small and serene corner in the mall where windows on one side give a view of the vast bar- ren playground of Baldwin High School and the other side gives a bird’s eye view of the dining courtyard of UB quarters, but all one wants to see is the beautiful expression of art inside the gallery. With plenty of day- light in the rectangular room, the display of art works is apt. Sublime Galleria is a dynamic meeting place for a cross section of style, media, techniques and forums. It rejuvenates the dying culture of art exhibitions by catering a space inside a mall which symbolises the present pop culture. It gives platform for all styles of art to be critiqued at the same level by connoisseurs from different parts of the country. Out of the 18 artists whose work was on display the big names were - Pramod Kumar Mohanty, Sudeep Mukherjee, Jayant Hubli, Ruma Biswas, Pradeep Kumar and Ramesh Terdal. Over 100 art works were on display in an organised manner. These included oil paintings, photographs on canvas, ink painting, joined canvas paintings, photographs and sketches. Sublime Galleria harmoniously juxtaposes traditional and avant garde styles in one form. These paintings were on sale. A marvellous photograph printed on Canvas by Amit sharma showed the fury in the eyes of an Elephant. A must to visit for all the arty people. The ambience will make you love it all the more. An evening spent with friends and family would be justified and if you want to take back a piece of art with you the journey starts from Rs 15000 onwards.

I AM RUGGED
The
theme I have chosen for the white T shirt styling is ‘Rugged’. The white T
shirt has been paired up with blue torn denims to give a fashionable yet rugged
look. A rope has been tied to depict – ‘tame the wild’ concept. The makeup is
nude and black smoky eyes have been given to compliment the rugged look. No lip
colour has been used. The styling is to depict an untamed rugged who does not
follow the rules of society and wants freedom from the social caste and customs.
The idea is to promote the freedom and willingness to break the rules. All the
people who do not fit into the society seek solace in rebel. The rugged look
clearly portrays the defiance through the torn jeans and t shirt which is
mudded. The hair has been kept undone and is not neat. The centre theme being inappropriate/misfit in
the society. The fierce expressions clearly define the unwillingness to accept
the rules and norms of a civilised society. One has to overcome the pressure
and go against the normal to bring about a change. The styling has been done
keeping in mind the psychology behind the rebel.
